    Job Summary:

    Directs the daily financial operations of system pharmacy service lines including inpatient, community, long term care, home infusion, and ambulatory. Develops specific departmental goals, standards and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization. This is a hybrid role that will be based within our four-state footprint.

    Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Provides system pharmacy service line budget oversight and supports budget variance reporting.

    • Utilizing advanced knowledge in 340B identifies expense reduction and revenue enhancement opportunities in pharmacy purchasing and drug utilization activities.

    • Develops inventory control procedures and monitors drug inventory activities across all service lines, including drug shortage and recall management

    • Ensures accuracy in month end financial reporting and works with finance leaders to resolve discrepancies

    • Manages system pharmacy contracts and vendor relations.

    • Directs all activities related to pharmacy purchasing, purchasing education, and financial compliance.

    • Directs special projects and business analyses.

    • Develops short- and long-term organizational planning as a member of the system pharmacy team.

    • Performs ongoing assessment, review and update of departmental procedures, processes and workflow to produce high-quality, cost-effective delivery of products and services, using advanced skills within Microsoft Excel, PowerBI and data analytics.

    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Education

    • Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D; Bachelor of Pharmacy) from an accredited school of pharmacy

    Experience

    • Seven years' experience, with five years direct people leadership

    Required Professional License and/or Certifications (State of Work Location: Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin)

    • Pharmacist, Registered - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR); Pharmacist - Missouri Division of Professional Registration; Pharmacist - Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy; or Pharmacist - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
