    As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cyber security measures. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data.     Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement cyber security policies, procedures, and standards to protect against internal and external threats.

    • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation measures.

    • Monitor and analyze security events and incidents to detect and respond to potential threats in a timely manner.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into system design and development processes.

    • Provide guidance and support to staff on cyber security best practices and procedures.

    • Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, and technologies to continuously improve our cyber security posture.

    • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and interpretation of regulatory requirements and authority documents to include NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, and other requirement drivers.

    • Support audit response activities as they pertain to cyber security policy.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field (experience can be used in lieu of a degree, 2 years' experience per year of education)

    • 5+ years of proven experience in cyber security engineering or related role.

    • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.

    • Experience with threat modeling, risk assessment, and security architecture design.

    • Extensive expertise with administration and securing various Linux distributions

    • Experience with administration and securing of Microsoft Windows operating systems

    • Hands-on experience with designing and deploying a SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) solution for log correlation, to include raw log collectors such as Syslog-ng for long-term retention and relaying.

    • Experience with vulnerability and configuration management using Tenable Security Center or similar tools.

    • Experience with network security tools such as email security gateways, web content filters, DNS filtering, endpoint security/EDR, IDS and IPS, and Network Access Control.

    • Experience integrating various security platforms from different vendors with one another and operational support platforms using API's and custom scripting.

    • Effective communication and presentation skills (i.e., ability to present ideas effectively in formal and informal situations in group and individual settings).

    • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills (i.e., ability to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize work, and to control and follow up to assure work completion).

    • Demonstrated initiative (i.e. initiate appropriate action without being directed) and ability to work independently.

    • Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, GSEC, GCIA, CISSP) preferred.
