Credentialed Veterinary Technician

VCA Milwaukee Emergency Center for Animals (MECA) in Greenfield, WI is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join the team at our one-of-kind emergency hospital.

VCA MECA has been serving the Milwaukee community since 2009. We are open 24/7 to provide emergency and critical care services to a diverse patient base of dogs, cats, small mammals, reptiles and birds. We utilize a collaborative approach to veterinary medicine, with a team dedicated to providing high quality care to pets facing illness and injury.

Come put your passion for patient care to work! Our technicians practice in a fast-paced environment, handling a mix of urgent, emergency and critical care cases. Every day, you will have the opportunity to practice, enhance and improve you skills, including:

• Patient triage and physical examinations

• Venipuncture and blood draws

• Surgical preparation, assistance, and recovery

• Anesthesia monitoring

• Catheter placement

• Laboratory and pharmacy work

• Radiology and diagnostic imaging procedures

• Maintaining accurate, detailed patient records

• Professional communication with clients

Schedule: Full time, day shift (6:00am-6:00pm). 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week. Alternating weekends and rotating holidays are required.

Salary: $20-$30 per hour. Starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field.
