RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Purchases assigned items, supplies, and materials at competitive prices consistent with quality, quantity, and delivery specifications.

• Negotiates, reviews, and approves blanket purchase agreements with suppliers for overall management of up to $200 million annual spend.

• Monitors demand and establishes forecasts for suppliers to ensure product availability at suppliers' warehouses.

• Establishes, develops, and maintains supplier relationships.

• Identifies and recommends alternate suppliers and/or substitute sources of supply.

• Works closely with R&D, Marketing, and Operations to qualify all new potential suppliers.

• Monitors market conditions and advises management of changes in supply prices and lead times.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

• Experience in purchasing, supply chain, operations, or a related field

• Strong pattern of initiative and achievement

• Highly developed interpersonal and leadership skills

• Proven problem-solving, decision-making and negotiation skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, or a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the Unites States

Preferred

• Bachelor's Degree

• Functional knowledge and understanding of Financial Systems Software (Oracle) and MFGPro

LOCATION: Austin, MN (global headquarters).

A comprehensive relocation package to the Austin, MN area will be offered, if required.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel may be necessary 10% of the time.
