    The Leidos Digital Modernization team is seeking a Configuration Manager to support a highly visible prime SOC program.

    The Configuration / Change Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and stability of our organization's IT infrastructure in the cyber security operations center (SOC) for our customer. The primary responsibility will be to oversee the management and control of configuration items (CIs) throughout their lifecycle, from initial identification through to decommissioning. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing change management processes to facilitate controlled and efficient alterations to our systems and services.

    Primary Responsibilities :

    • Identify and document all configuration items (CIs) within our IT environment, including hardware, software, documentation, and other components.

    • Work with different teams and implement ICR, CR, EBF, Routine CR, and firewall requests as needed.

    • Maintain ticketing system and or Config Management database to accurately track and manage all CIs and their relationships.

    • Implement and enforce configuration management policies, standards, and procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy across the organization.

    • Conduct regular audits and reviews to verify the accuracy and completeness of configuration data.

    • Develop and implement change management processes and procedures to effectively control and manage changes to the IT infrastructure.

    • Evaluate change requests for potential impact on existing configurations, services, and systems, and assess risks accordingly.

    • Ensure that changes are properly documented, tested, and authorized before implementation to minimize disruptions and mitigate risks.

    • Collaborate closely with IT teams, stakeholders, and vendors to gather information, assess requirements, and implement changes in alignment with business objectives.

    • Communicate effectively with all relevant parties to ensure awareness of upcoming changes, potential impacts, and resolution of any issues or conflicts.

    • Provide training and guidance to IT staff on configuration and change management processes, tools, and best practices.

    Basic Qualifications:

    Bachelor's Degree with 4-8 years of experience with configuration management or change management. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

    • Strong customer interfacing experience

    • Experience with ITIL practices

    • 4+ years experience with Configuration / Change Management

    • Experience with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook, Ticketing system such as ServiceNow

    • Strong communication skills

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.

    Clearance: In addition to specific security clearance requirements all SOC employees are required to successfully complete a customer specific Background Investigation to support this program

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • ITIL Certification

    Pay Range:

    Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00
