    BWXT is looking to add a Business Systems & Digital Transformation to our team in Lynchburg, VA!

    The Business Systems & Digital Transformation Intern will assist with initiation, planning, execution, and closing of strategic, complex, high-risk, multi-million-dollar IT projects and programs. Projects will be performed for the on-going Business Systems Digital Transformation program focused on the Applications and ERP domain.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assist with successful execution of multi-million-dollar critical, complex, high-risk projects and programs, meeting aggressive deadlines.

    • Work directly with project managers to ensure successful execution of project management tasks including testing, defect management, status reporting, cutover, and hypercare.

    • Provide timely and accurate task / event status to project team, PMO, Stakeholders and Executives.

    • Ensure project management approaches are consistent, measurable, and aligned with PMO standards and best practices.

    • Assist in the implementation of project management tools and methodologies.

    Job Requirements:

    • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED and some college coursework completed in pursuit of a degree.

    • Experience and knowledge with the project management body of knowledge, Microsoft Office-Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Microsoft SharePoint and Visio.

    • An understanding of project management concepts and tools.

    • Excellent and effective inter-personal, leadership and communication skills with the ability to clearly present project event status to the project team and leadership.

    • Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.

    Pay: $20.75 - $34.75/hour

    The starting hourly rate for this position in Virginia is expected to be $20.75 - $34.75/ per hour. The hourly rate offered is based on local job market factors and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
