AP/AR Clerk

Description - Perform on-line processes of:

o Accounts payable: Verify invoices and route for management approval; process checks and manage check clearing; follow up on checking vendor statements; process credit card billings.

o Accounts receivable: Manage Insurance and Medicare billings for resident accounts, process check (cash) deposits and post cash receipts; maintain resident accounts from admission/move-in through discharge/move-out; answer all resident and resident's family inquiries regarding statements and billing; assist with collections; manage unit resale accounting process; assist in preparation of journal entries and reconciliation in support of month end close process.

o General Ledger: Manage various aspects of the Community's GL process. Examples:

o Interdepartmental Charges & Allocations

o Accruals

o Amortization schedules

o Statistical reporting

o Expense variance reporting

• Resolve account discrepancies by reconciling statements and transactions.

• Cross train in performing other accounting jobs.

• Assist with compiling reports and spreadsheets.

• Act as a change agent, seeking new and improved ways to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

Other Duties

• Practice safety and loss prevention procedures; adhere to universal precautions and all infection control guidelines.

• Attend training as required.

• Meet, or exceed LCS's standards of appearance and standards of service; comply with LCS sanitation, hygiene, and health standards for community personnel.
