  • Description:

    Inspects aerospace machine parts and assemblies using coordinate measuring machines running PC-DMIS software.

    Conducts conventional inspection to engineering requirements using height gages, calipers, micrometers, bore gages, and other standard inspection methods.

    Responsible for first part buy off, final inspection, first article reports, rejection tags, and supplier non-conformance notifications.

    Examines manufacturing plans, engineering documents, and drawings to determine product requirements per ASME Y14.5 specification.

    Trouble shoots and problem solves machining processes when necessary.

    Prints and follows inspection staging requirements.

    Buys in material, standards, and parts.

    Prepares and completes first articles per AS9102.

    Operates CMM.

    Ensures documents are kept up to date.

    Completes all daily record keeping requirements.

    Inspection, Calipers, Blueprint, Micrometer, CMM, GD&T, CMM operation, Quality control, Production

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:

    Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications including Catia and Enovia.

    Detailed knowledge of inspection techniques, measuring, and trigonometry.

    Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize activities within an environment of fast-paced periods of competing deadlines and fluctuating workload.

    Team player with a can-do attitude.
