27% of Americans use Facebook... in the bathroom

I can't say I'm surprised. Ever since cell phones came into the picture we've been a society attached at the hip so naturally our other social obsessions would follow suit!

All this is according to a recent study done by an Atlanta-based media firm. The study was conducted to benefit marketers by identifying new points of audience engagement. "Marketing is everywhere and anything can be marketing," according to a person involved in the research.

Not at all surprising was the fact that more women than men fessed up to checking Facebook while... indisposed. I get it, but don't make me explain it. You figure it out for yourself!

Now, a statistic I would like to see is how many cell phones get accidentally errr... dropped.

A great conclusion to be drawn from this? Never borrow anyone's phone. Ever. It's probably a safe bet it's posted funny status messages from the porcelain throne.

Let's hear from you! Is using a cell phone to check out Facebook unacceptable behavior? Or do you do it too? Personally I'm fine with this trend as long as none of you start posting your status messages about being in the bathroom. Eep!
