  • Job Overview:

    The Senior Project Manager will manage of all phases of program and project activities that range from small to large in value and a variety of scopes that include engineering, applied science, procurement, construction and or operations.

    Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

    • Direct preparation of work plans, supervise project teams, and manage project scope, budget and schedule optimizing project execution to achieve both internal and external business objectives

    • May have responsibility for multiple projects and different project sites

    • Establishes and monitors project safety and quality programs

    • Plans, organizes, coordinates, and controls projects in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements

    • Supervises daily activities of project personnel including technical and administrative support and ensures that deliverables are produced on schedule and within budget

    • Overall responsibility for all aspects of project execution including safety, engineering, procurement, and O&M. Candidates with only engineering or only O&M experiences may be considered.

    • May function as seller-doer, developing client contacts and relationships, preparing proposals, coordinating contract negotiations, etc., as well as managing project execution

    • Represents the company to client and maintains client relationships

    • Applies knowledge and skills to complete own work

    • Understands relationships between work processes and the business

    • Is aware of costs related to own work

    • Organizes own work to meet deadlines set by others

    • Communicates information, asks questions and checks for understanding

    • Builds team effectiveness skills within own work team

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Has basic knowledge of theories, practices and procedures in a discipline or skill

    • Accredited 4 year degree or global equivalent in architecture, engineering or construction management and technical knowledge of an array of disciplines and 12 years of experience leading multi-disciplinary teams through all phases of projects including Master Planning, conceptual design, basic design/FEEDS, detailed design, procurement, contracting, construction, and commissioning or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to 16 years if non-degreed

    • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)

    • Strong understanding on project planning and risk management

    • Excellent communication skills

    • Demonstrated success in problem solving and delivering innovative solutions

    • Interacts well in a dynamic, office team environment

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Has led the safe execution of Process Industries or Advanced Manufacturing projects including green field developments and brown field expansions. Has thorough understanding of the contractual and commercial implications and specific exceptional requirements of different project contract types including reimbursable, lump sum services, Fixed Price Lump sum, LSTK, guaranteed maximum and incentivized fee.

    • Has experience with process and manufacturing equipment design, construction, installation and operations. Specifically, process industries (specialty chemicals/polymers, pulp & paper, fibers) , food & beverage, automotive, metals and advanced manufacturing.

    • Possesses significant experience of presenting to Clients and senior external and internal stakeholders both in a business development and project execution context.
