POSITION PURPOSEAs a Receiving Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the daily activity of at least 7 plus Associates. This Supervisor will be managing the Receiving Operations which will include Cycle Counting, opening/closing purchase orders, inbound inventory discrepancies, damages and claims. Also responsible for managing the productivity of the Receiving team.MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES20%-Promotes a safe work environment always; ensures that warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment in order to perform distribution functions, that they are properly trained and follow all safety protocol20%-Provides a hand-on approach in the organization, scheduling of personnel, and directing of warehouse day-to-day activities which may include receiving, stocking, inventory control, order filling, UPS, LTL and private truck shipments as well as customer pickup orders20%-Supervises and monitors warehouse personnel work assignments, work flow, performance and work standards, accuracy, and productivity20%-Charts progress, develops enhancements to drive efficiency20%-Participates in the development and delivery of employee reviews and disciplinary actionsNATURE AND SCOPEReports to the Operations Manager. Position has direct reports.ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTSEnvironment:Typically located in an indoor area.
