Electronic Assembler

PDS Tech is currently seeking Mechanical Assemblers for our client Hollister, CA. These are DIRECT HIRE positions.A- Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Performs various production assembly operations on components and subassemblies.Uses visual aids, drawings and verbal and written instruction to assemble, modify, re-work or re-assemble units.Receives detailed instruction on new assignments.Install sub-assemblies.Must display competent dexterity to insure safe handling of explosive devices.All work is performed in explosive handling areas.Perform other related duties as assignedB- Primary Skill Requirements:Ability to read, understand and follow written instructions.Must display competent dexterity to insure safe handling of explosive devices.Basic hand tool knowledge (tweezers, pliers)Basic measuring tool knowledge (calipers, micrometers)Basic math skills.Light assembly training.Safety awareness training.Safe powder handling training.Agility to use a microscope.Specific Duties and Responsibilities:Responsibilities and duties as outlined in Section A & B above.Work under direct supervision.Weigh and press inert & energetic materials.Set up and use analytical balance.Perform inert assembly operations.Minor cabling, potting, tinning and assembly work.Set up and use powder press for pressing operation.Some minor set-up capability for specific equipment.May have some basic soldering experience.+ Education Required : High school diploma or equivalent+ Experience Required : 1 year industry assembly work.+ Skill Requirements : Powder handling & weighing certification; Alcatel Leak Test Certification+ United States CitizenAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, age, marital status, pregnancy, genetic information, or other legally protected status.
