Advanced Manufacturing Engineer - Finishing
Reporting to the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Leader -Finishing, the Advanced Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for supporting the global finishing strategy through execution of investments and operational improvement projects throughout the organization. The position will be part of a network of engineers that collectively drive process standardization and best in class performance through the implementation of standard work and best practice leverage in different areas such as automation, new products manufacturability and new manufacturing technologies; always ensuring the core manufacturing processes and company assets are effectively utilized.
Executes and supports global manufacturing strategy and enterprise assessments and playbooks (location, capacity, utilization).
Leads projects and implements core / non-core process, assessments, and playbooks.
Ensures effective facility / product / process transitions & processes are in place.
Acts as a champion of Total Productive Maintenance across machinery, tools and facilities.
Supports large capital investment initiatives within operations, including the identification, evaluation, and business case justification of new technologies
Creates and maintains capacity and utilization plans
Assists with new product introductions to ensure adequate levels of manufacturability.
Supports mergers and acquisitions integration into the Allegion landscape.
Collaborates with Procurement to implement make vs. buy processes, assessments, and/or playbooks.
Supports global leverage of core manufacturing process groups.
Partners with manufacturing facilities to enable them to run more efficiently. Qualifications Education:
BS / ME degree in engineering, or a related field Experience
Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Electro-Mechanical background
2-5 years of relevant manufacturing operations experience
Ability to travel up to 50% domestic and global Demonstrated
Understanding of various finishing processes used in industrial manufacturing
Ability to lead / manage capital equipment projects from design to implementation
Understanding of manufacturing engineering processes and trends
Capability to manage multiple projects
Demonstrated influencing, relationship building, teamwork and collaboration skills at all levels of the global organization
